October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

my read shelf:

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined. -Thoreau

Last year I found a lump in my breast and that kicked off several months of testing and finally surgery. It was scary and I went through an emotional time wondering if I was going to die or live or have my breasts removed or any other scenerio you can imagine. Luckily, everything turned out to be okay and the abnormal cells were all removed and were not yet cancer. Breast cancer has a very important place in my life as my mother and both grandmothers had cancer.

As you know by now I’m sure, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The following are just some of the companies that will be donating a percentage of sales (of these products) to fighting Breast Cancer.

DuWop Purse Your LipsDuWop introduces Purse Your Lips: an adorable pink miniature purse with a wrist chain strap filled with DuWop’s Pink Shimmer Lip Venom. A portion of the proceeds from Purse Your Lips will be given to CEW’s Cancer and Careers, an organization that helps provide inspiration and insight to working women living with cancer.
