Just the name of the collection had me excited- MAC Art Supplies. Here’s what MAC says about their new collection:Incorporating the concept of art tools into the world of M∙A∙C makeup, these pencils and markers create dramatically different lip looks. New Pro Longwear Lipstain Marker has the doodle-fun of a “pen,” but with sophisticated, light and long-wearing results. It’s all about artistic freedom!
When is MAC not about artistic freedom? Its one of the things I love about MAC. You can mix and match and get crazy and blend and throw it on however you want to and it all works. I tested The Pro Longwear Lipstain Marker in the shades of Full of Flare (a reddish coral) and Runway Ripened (berry). Paint these on your lips for a longwearing pout. I applied a gloss over it and while I had to reapply the gloss, the color stain beneath stayed put.
Other shades in the collection include: •Stylesetter – Hot pink •A classic – Rose red •Purposefully red – Dirty red coral •Modern mocha – Light brown •Point of view – Light neutral •Tomorrow’s coral – Mid-tone blue red •Sunset – Coral brown
These are my paint brushes. I LOVE art, creating, pictures, color, anything visual! Let me draw and paint and use my imagination. Allow me to experiment with different combinations of – wait, I’m getting off track…Let’s get back to MAC.
These Pearlglide Intense Eye Liners are so soft but they do pack an intense punch and for that, I love them. I can’t find fault with these, they are perfect in every way. Color is bright and has depth. Ideal for my blue eyes are the shades Almost Noir (frosty taupe- plum) and Petrol Blue (deep dark blue). I line my upper lashes with these eye liners then add a lot of mascara. A lot.
All of these are so complimentary to various eye colors! Check it out • Designer purple – Iridescent violet • Undercurrent – Blue teal•Industrial – Periwinkle grey • Black line – True black
The Greasepaint Stickscan be used as eye shadows or liners. They deliver rich color and they are velvet smooth when swiped across the eyelid. I’m thrilled that I can apply them in the morning and the color is still there at night! I tried Uniformly Blue which is a nice deep blackish shade of blue, Greengrease is a welcome change from my regime as its a neat dark green-gray combo.
Other colors include •Zinc zone – Dark gunmetal •Slick black – True carbon black •Dirty – Blackened taupe with pearl •Brown, now – Blackened burgundy •Below ground – Blackened bronze •Charred mauve – Blackened violet
