My latest green, clean favorites

I’m so excited to tell you about some new favorites. These were all new to me but have been in heavy rotation since I received them. I don’t hesitate to recommend these green, clean beauty items!

Living Libations is a  brand I recently discovered. I fell hard in love with their shampoo and conditioner, their  Gum Drops for teeth and gums, and now the Seabuckthorn Best Skin Ever. You can use it to remove makeup, clean your face and moisturize skin.

I was using it up too quickly when I removed makeup and as a moisturizer so now I just dot a little on my face at night. It sinks into skin quickly, smells great and is super natural. More about the amazing Sea Buckthorn  coming soon. I have a long list of items that I would like from Living Libations, its a brand that I intend to return to again and again.

Blissoma is a fabulous brand and I know they are committed to pure ingredients and a high standard. Its really great when you know the creator of the products is dedicated to science and nature like Julie Longyear – read all about this amazing woman here. Now onto the products!

I tried  Bright – Eye Vitalizing Nutrient Serum. Its made with 19 active ingredients that include botanicals and vitamins to nurture and heal. I’ve been using this only a few days but so far, I love it. I appreciate the incredible ingredients, each has a specific purpose for treating the delicate eye area.

I used to think of toners as astringents such as the Sea Breeze I used back in the 80’s. Not so!  Tone – Intense Hydration Tonique is one of the best toners I’ve ever used. My skin seems to drink this right up! All skin types can benefit from the refreshing qualities of this product, as well as the wonderful blend of hydrating and soothing ingredients.

I could gush on and on about Blissoma, how the products are thoughtfully well made, how your skin will just love these special blends of botanicals and minerals. I think you should probably check them out yourself here.

Another great product is a lovely oil from Odacite. The products are formulated fresh for each customer, that’s quite special! They offer sample sizes so you can take each product for a test run, if you don’t want to commit to a full size.

I tested the Rose Hips & Ylang Ylang oil, geared towards deep wrinkles. I’m trying what I can before resorting to Juvederm! This oil is just what you (and me) need if you have any lines, wrinkles, discoloration: “reverse wrinkles & smooth out facial lines while improving skin hydration and discoloration.”

I’ve only been using this for a short time so I don’t see results just yet however, the oil is high quality- its rich and hydrating. You need only a tiny amount for the face, a little goes a long way as is the case with well made products. Check out the whole site here.

Last but not least, Green Body Deodorant. If you are a clean, green, healthy beauty then you know how hard it is to find a natural deodorant that truly works! I’ve found some but they are not easy to come by. This one works all day long and doesn’t quit! If you make one change to your routine, I strongly encourage you to swap out your synthetic deodorant (if you use one) and switch to one like this. There are numerous links to breast cancer from deodorants, not to mention the aluminum which has been connected to other diseases. (for more information go here)

Green Body uses essential oil blends, cocoa butter and GMO-free cornstarch. I tried the scent of Ylang Ylang and Jasmine and while the scent isn’t strong, its very lovely- more importantly, this works! I love the fact this product comes in a traditional stick.

Here are the ingredients: Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch*, Sodium Bicarbonate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Essential Oils of: Salvia Sclarea (Clary Sage), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel, Pogostenmon Cablin (Patchouli), Cananga Odorata (Ylang-Ylang) Flower, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower, Santalum Album (Sandalwood). *GMO Free

This one gets five out of five stars and a high five! Go here for more.

All of these products have something wonderful in common: they are all green and clean! Not only that, the owners of the companies are committed to clean and natural living. I cannot wait to see what else they come up with!

  1. Great reviews! I spy a couple of faves!:) I’ve met with the owner, Valerie of Odacite at a Green Beauty Event at Evolue in Beverly Hills a couple of years back. She is such a lovely woman with a passion for creating these products. We tried out several samples from her line and I love that the entire line is freshly made with ingredients that are beneficial to your skin. I tried samples suited for dry/mature skin and they all helped balance my sensitive skin when trying out so many different products at the time. I think the base of aloe vera really helped with that. AND, I remember really being able to feel the “freshness” of the products when applied. I haven’t tried the Rose Hips & Ylang Ylang Oil, but sounds very intriguing! Thanks for the new brand rec’s- I’ve never tried Living Libations or Green Body. A natural, effective deodorant is really hard to find! If you haven’t tried it already, Blissoma’s deodorants last all day without re-applying; it’s my new go-to deodorant everyday. I love the Juniper scent. It also comes in Lavender. They both come with a spray applicator. I am also a fan of the “Bright” eye serum you reviewed here. It goes on light and absorbs well. It’s a lot different than other eye serums out there. There’s no oiliness, it soaks right in and I’ve seen a difference in the dark circles under my eyes just after one week of use. Another Blissoma fave is the “Fresh” Mild Rice Face Cleanser. I use this every morning in the shower. It’s very gentle and your face feels smooth and moisturized; not tight or dry as you might experience with some other cleansers. Thanks for sharing your new routine and looking forward to trying some of your other product rec’s!
