Care for your sensitive skin with Aveeno

Here at Hello Dollface, we love Aveeno! Never disappointed by this brand, we eagerly look forward to anything new coming down the pike from Aveeno. I have sensitive skin and will often develop cyst like pimples when I’m allergic to something. I’ve been using several different Aveeno products for years with no trouble.

Adding to their collection of excellent gentle products comes Dry Shampoo, an Eczema Care Kit and Calming Makeup Remover wipes.

I have grown to become a HUGE dry shampoo fan. I never thought I’d see the day when I didn’t do a full shampoo-condition-style-rollers routine but then I discovered dry shampoo and life changed. The Aveeno Active Naturals Pure Renewal Dry Shampoo contains a Balancing Seaweed Extract that helps revive hair. This product also imparts a fresh scent, absorbs oil, gives hair extra volume.

I use this with a blowdryer set to medium, focusing on roots. I brush hair through, add some shine serum on the ends and usually wrap into a ponytail or bun, avoiding another day of heat styling but looking what I hope is clean and cute!

The Aveeno Ultra Calming Makeup Removing Wipes are oil free, won’t clog pores and are gentle enough for sensitive skin. Ideal for eye area! You always want to be careful around your eyes. The wipes contain Active Naturals® Calming Feverfew™, an ingredient related to Chamomile which is very soothing. These are perfect to use at the end of the day when you want to clean your face and free it from dirt and makeup.

Are you plagued by Eczema? According WebMD, this condition, is a “rash most commonly occurs on the face, back of the knees, wrists, hands, or feet. It may also affect other areas as well.” Ouch! Painful. Aveeno Eczema Therapy Complete Care Kit is for those of you who suffer. This kit contains  an Eczema Therapy Bath Treatment, plus Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream. Sit in the bath and let the oatmeal soothe your troubled skin. Then apply the cream and allow it to soothe.

I’ve never had eczema but I have had chicken pox so I’m going to relate the itchy, painful, uncomfortable feeling of having those annoying pox to having eczema. A gentle, skin soothing bath followed by a cream that eases the desire to dig your nails into your skin probably feels so good. Ahhhhh. Gentle enough for the most sensitive skin.
