bareMinerals, what I am loving now!

I look for something very specific when I use mascara. I want mascara to lengthen my lashes and coat them from root to tip. I hate clumping so the product should be silky, not too thick. It must wash off with minimal effort as I dislike scrubbing my eyes.

Bare Minerals mascara, Flawless Definition, delivers! With a light consistency, the formula is neither runny or thick, it glides onto the lashes making  them appear thicker and longer. A total score!

Next up is the Prime Time Eyelid primer for eyes. I lightly apply this with the angled applicator, all over my eyelid. I am careful not to use too much- a little bit works just fine. I then apply my eyeshadow and liner. The eye colors last all day, from 8am to 8pm with no creasing or fading. Its a miracle!

I was able to try out the new brushes- my very favorite is the Double Ended brush- I use the slimmer side to apply the eyeliner close to my lash line- think of it as an eyeliner brush. The other side is a little fuller and works wonderfully to apply eye shadow.  Other new brushes include the Precision Eye Brush, Heavenly Liner Brush and Crease Defining Brush. The Crease Defining Brush makes applying eye shadow so easy, blending and contouring can be done like a professional when you have the right tools. I want to encourage you to invest in some good eye brushes so you can apply eye shadows. Click here to see all brushes. Another favorite of mine is the Full Edged Liner Brush- every girl should have this in her makeup case as it can be used to apply eye liner, smudge shadow across the lid and tidy up brows.

Every day I’ve been using the eye color from Bare Minerals. My favorite  includes the Soft Black eye color, a loose mineral powder. I wet my Double Ended brush and lightly dip it into the eye powder. Then I drag it lightly across my upper lash line. I add a bit of color too- my favorites are the gray-ish shades called 2000 and Patience. A few combinations include the Twilight  (as an eyeliner) with True Gold over it, Nude beach with Sex Kitten and the list goes on. The color is packed with intensity, its long wearing and won’t make my eyes tear up. I love it!

Last, my obsession with Bare Minerals carries over into the Buxom Lips Sailor Girls, four  glosses in the shades of plum, coral, sand dollar and sunrise.I love these for many reasons- they lightly plump lips, add shine, moisturize, the colors are so pretty and flattering, they have a light not overwhelming shimmer. True story- everytime I go to Sephora, I beeline over to Bare Minerals. This brand continues to satisfy my need for high quality cosmetics that are gentle to my skin.
