I hear the names Rodan + Fields and I immediately think of skin care. These two women are power house dermatologists with a collection of products to their names. Not only products, but also a fantastic book that I’ve been reading, more on that in a minute.
I admit it- at first I wasn’t a powder lover. Back in the day when I was a teen, I used Cornsilk pressed powder like crazy. My shiny skin drove me insane. I powdered and blotted and wiped at least twenty times a day. When the mineral powders became all the rage, all I could think about was the thick powder I used to heap onto my face. Slowly I came around to loving the mineral powders. The new Mineral Peptides SPF 20 from Rodan + Fields does so much more than keep skin smooth.
This multi-tasking product contains anti-inflammatory/anti-microbial peptides, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide give your skin protection from the UVA rays of the sun, the finely milled powder evens out the skin tone, minerals and botanicals not only soothe skin but make it soft and radiant.
While I used to be a cream foundation girl, I’ve since switched to mineral powders. And if mineral powders are your thing, or you want to give them a try, might I suggest a brush like the Rodan + Fields retractable brush? It makes applying the powder so easy plus it retracts into its case so its very portable. The brush is also treated with a solution that repels bacteria. Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields have written an entire book about skincare titled, Write Your Skin A Prescription for Change. Not only am I an avid reader of fiction but I love to settle in with an informative book about helping myself , whether it be about a positive attitude, health, fitness, or skincare. As you might have guessed, this is a book about skincare! Chock full of information, the book contains chapters on topics such as Hormones, Pregnancy, Sun, Sensitive Skin, Treatments, Lines & Wrinkles and more. There are tips galore plus quotes from the doctors, quizzes to analyze your skin. The information is presented in a very easy to understand format. My particular favorites are the information about wrinkles and fine lines!
