If you haven’t tried a dry shampoo yet now is the time! This multi-use product will save you lots of time and wear and tear on your tresses. For the longest time I washed and dried and heat styled my color treated hair every single day. Then I discovered the miracle of dry shampoo and now I can’t live without it.
I like Batiste Dry Shampoo due to the very pleasant scent (original and a light floral scent called Blush). You can use this a couple of different ways. Spray throughout hair at night to absorb any oils that accumulate during the night, when you wake up your hair is clean and fresh. Spay after a long day to refresh and revive hair. Use as a styling aid on clean hair after you blow dry. This product adds body and volume and is a secret styling tool for many celeb hair stylists. Dry shampoo adds texture to hair that needs a little more oomph. It also can absorb excess styling product like oil or serum.
Batiste is inexpensive- under six dollars a can- and is offered in large sizes and a convenient travel size.
I sure wish I could rock a red lip like January Jones does here! I love her look, from the wavy hair to the pink cheeks. I asked my pal, Celebrity makeup and hairstylist, Stacey Ellis of Byu-ti Salon to detail January’s look. Here are five easy steps to follow to look like the Mad Men celeb!
Makeup from Smashbox
1. Start with Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation, apply with a sponge or foundation brush to blend. Set the foundation with Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder.
2. Add blushed cheek with O-Glow Intuitive Cheek Color, dab on sparingly with your finger or a sponge.
3. Start with the lightest Eyeshadow color called Champagne to the inside corners of the eyes and under the brow. Apply the color Rapture, across the lid and along the bottom lash line.
4. Plump up the lashes with two coats of black Hyperlash Mascara.
5. Stain the lips with Limitless Lip Stain & Color Seal Balm in the bright coral red shade called Guava. Top with the balm for added shine and moisture.

Stem Cell research is revolutionary, and now it comes to skin care, with Andalou naturals Fruit Stem Cell Night Repair Cream with Resveratrol Q10. This beauty booster works at the cellular level of your skin, mixing science with nature, to defy the aging process. It not only restores your skin’s vitality, it also repairs deep damage and even regenerates healthy cells. Even better, it has a bioactive 8 berry complex which is packed with super antioxidants to fight environmental stressors, support your skin, increase collagen and elastin and even boost your skin’s immune system.
Usually night creams are thick and sticky, but Andalou is lightweight with a super-soft texture. It glides on, absorbs quickly, and I swear I could feel it working. Whatever skin you’re in, you’ll want to try this out!

One of my favorite tinted moisturizers is the Sue Devitt SpaComplexion Hydrating Marine Minerals Tinted Moisturizer spf 15. There’s a lot to like about this one. It’s super light, wears well all day and adds just a little color to even out the skintone. Its very silky on the skin. This contains special minerals that come from the sea, called the Microquatic Complex. It adds hydration to the skin (but doesnt make my oily skin more oily) and contains anti-aging properties.
During the warmer months, I like products like this one that won’t look heavy on the skin and more importantly, don’t feel heavy. Click here for more!
You know that these BB creams are all the rage. These treat skin, add a little color and moisturize all in one product. The Omorovicza BB Cream is fantastic. I received a small sample of this and was so sad when it was all gone. This BB cream sinks into the skin and instantly improves the look of the face by evening the skin tone and covering up imperfections.
It doesn’t contain silicone, which is an ingredient found in many face products, known to irritate the skin and clog pores. It contains vitamin C, white lupin, ruby crystal and Hyaluronic Acid microspheres. You can read more about this product here.
Last but not least is the 3Lab Perfect BB Cream spf 40. I love this BB cream too…it instantly brightens the skin and provides great coverage. A wonderful alternative to foundation.
The BB creams are known to treat skin and deliver anti-aging benefits which is one reason so many women like wearing them. This one from 3Lab contains “anti-oxidants, vitamins and botanicals including Phytocell Tec, Nano Clair GY™ and β-white” which you can learn about by going here.

Long live the short, artfully colored fingernail!
As much as I love changing up the hues on my nails, I’m always disappointed when a few days later my perfect manicure isn’t looking so perfect anymore. Thanks to Nutra Nail Gel Perfect, the 5 minute gel-color manicure, your color will be rock solid in no time…and will last until you’re ready for a new shade!
Nutra Nail Gel Perfect couldn’t be easier to apply. First, a coat of the clear Gel Polish Activator, a coat of the Gel-Color, then on to the other hand and repeat once more…easy! AND it fully dries within minutes! I’m excited to try Nutra Nail Gel Perfect’s new Sorbet Collection, which includes gorgeous spring colors. I already have Bayberry, Tangerine and Grape lined up in my bathroom fighting over who goes first!
Just check out how gorgeous Cameron Diaz’s eyes are here! So blue, like crystal. Im going to copy how her eyes are done and hope that mine look so clear and blue too. And I love her short hair. I just read about how she cried and cried when it was cut shorter than she wanted. I think its nice to change things up a bit, don’t you? And she pulls it off. I also heard that she got breast implants but you will have to be the judge of that yourself!
Celebrity Makeup Artist Stacey Ellis from the Byu-Ti Salon has outlined how to get Cameron’s look. Stacey loves Smashbox and uses it to recreate Cam’s look.
Face:
On a clean moisturized face apply Camera Ready BB Cream Foundation with a sponge and layer for more coverage. Set the foundation with Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder on a large powder brush, dust over the entire face.
Add a hint of rose blush to the cheeks. Apply Blush Rush Color,Passion, to the cheek, sweeping back to the ear.
Eyes:
The Photo Op Eyeshadow Trio called Shutter Speed has all three colors you will need for this look. Start with the lightest shade under the brow and on the inside corner of the eyelid. Dust the taupe color across the eyelid up to the crease. Use the darkest shade on the outer corners of the eye, blending into the crease of the eye.
Run a soft fine line of Be Discovered Jet Set Gel Eye Liner color Idol, along the top and bottom lash lines. Complete the eye with two coats of black, Full Exposure Mascara.
Lips:
Get this vibrant coral red lip with Be Legendary Lipstick color called Mandarin. First dab a little foundation on the edge of the lips, carefully apply the red lipstick, blot with a tissue and re-apply a second coat.
LUSH is a company that makes everything from hand. You get natural ingredients, made in small batches. Check out this Buffy Body Butter. This grainy, not gritty, bar will exfoliate and clean the skin but leave it soft and healthy. It had a light lavender scent and is perfect for in the shower, with a loofah!
The Buffy Body Butter is made from Ground rice, ground almonds and ground aduki beans. Cocoa butter and shea butter leave skin smooth and silky. Lavender oil gives it a relaxing and luxurious scent. So much better than a bar of regular soap!
I have to laugh when I think of Dark Angels. It looks like gritty dirt! But it feels so good on the face. Exfoliate your way to clear skin using this scrub. It looks like a total mess when you are using it but this brightens skin and helps control oil. You only need a dime sized amount to wash your face.
Dark Angels is created from black sugar and powdered charcoal. There is rhassoul mud and cold pressed organic avocado oil which leave skin soft and some sandalwood and rosewood oils to soothe the skin.
