My favorite hairstyle is loose waves with lots of body like Dianna Agron’s here. I also love her makeup! But back to the hair, Creighton Bowman of Exclusive Artists Management, designed this look using a favorite brand of mine, Rene Furterer.
“We decided that a ‘20s-inspired style evoking the Jazz Baby era was perfectly in sync with the silent-screen siren cut of the gown,” says Creighton. “But rather than go with the super sleek look of the Roaring Twenties, I wanted to keep Dianna’s hair modern and create a style with a more touchable texture. To achieve this, I turned to René Furterer—I can always count on the versatility of their endless list of amazing products.”
Here’s how to get the look from Creighton:
Starting with towel-dried, damp hair, I sprayed Dianna’s hair from roots to ends with René Furterer VOLUMEA volumizing conditioning spray. This not only helps to give hair more body, it also moisturizes to keep hair incredibly soft.
Next, I worked a little René Furterer VOLUMEA volumizing foam–no rinse at the roots and hairline. I love the way the foam adds more lift without leaving hair sticky or crunchy.
Using my Babyliss blow-dryer, I rough-dried Dianna’s hair to create as much volume as possible. For extra oomph, I had Dianna turn her head upside down—the force of the air from the blow-dryer through the hair in this position really pumps up the volume.
Once hair was dry, I made a deep side part. After sectioning hair, I used a Babyliss half-inch curling iron to do a finger-wave set, giving each wave a light spritzing of René Furterer GLOSSING SPRAY for movie star shine. GLOSSING SPRAY also helps to moisturize.
Using my Mason Pearson flat brush, I brushed out waves and gave hair a quick blast with René Furterer NATURIA dry shampoo, allowing it to set for two minutes before whisking it out with a brush. This helps to texturize the loosened up waves.
Last, I pinned up the back with both bobby pins and hair pins, letting the front pieces fall out to give the illusion of an A-line bob. A misting of René Furterer FINISHING SPRAY held the look in place throughout the gala evening.

The Look:
”I was inspired to keep Ashley’s flawless skin beautiful and glowy, and to focus the makeup on her eyes to compliment the Grecian nature of her gorgeous white Donna Karan Atelier gown.”
Face:
I prepped Ashley’s skin with mark Primed for Perfection Face Primer. Next, I applied a thin coat of mark Min-A-Real Cream-To-Powder Foundation to enhance her skin tone. I tended to any imperfections with mark Conceal For Real Long-Lasting Hook Up Concealer.”
Cheeks:
“For a dewy glow, I highlighted Ashley’s brow bones, cheek bones, nose and inner eyes with mark Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes. Next, I swept mark Good Glowing Mosaic Blush Custom Color Palette in Chica along her cheekbones and Good Glowing Custom Pick Powder Blush in After Glo on the apples of her cheeks. I set the look with a hint of mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder to the high points of her face to give a hint of warmth.”
Eyes:
“For Ashley’s eyes, I started by smudging mark Keep It Going Longwear Eyeliner & Shadow in Industria close to her lash line to add some definition. Next, I blended mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Minx onto her lid and shaded with Plum Velvet in her crease and outer corner using a small fluff brush to for a soft smudge effect. I curled Ashley’s lashes with mark Make Me Lash Eyelash Curler and finished by applying three coats of mark Lash All You Want High-Volume Mascara in Black to her top lashes and one to her bottom lashes.”
Lips:
“I applied mark Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Baby Luv and added a hint of mark Gloss On Lip Gloss in Sunset Beach for a gorgeous, neutral lip.”

Face:
I prepped Jessica’s skin with mark Calm & Composed Super-Soothing Moisturizer, followed by Primed for Perfection Face Primer to create a strong, moisturized base. Next, I applied mark Min-A-Real Cream-To-Powder Foundation in Light 3 using the mark Foundation Brush. Then, I applied mark Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer in Fair/Light under Jessica’s eyes and around her nose.”
Cheeks:
“For Jessica’s cheeks, I brushed mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Cheeky onto the apples of her cheeks using the mark Foundation Brush. Next, I dusted mark Matte-Nificent Oil Absorbing Powder all over her face in Light to create an even skin tone.”
Eyes:
“I wanted a minimal look for Jessica’s eyes, so I applied mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Minx to her eyelids using the mark All Over Eye Shadow Brush. I finished by applying two coats of mark Lash All You Want High-Volume Mascara in Black to her top and bottom lashes.”
Lips:
“I applied mark Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Hot & Spicy for a bold, stunning lip.”
