Checking Out: Onomie

One of the first signs of aging is dark circles around the eyes. Perhaps some discoloration. It’s really unfortunate but it happens to almost everyone after the magic age of 34  when for some reason, aging becomes more noticeable!

Thankfully there are heavy duty concealers and products to disguise late nights and sun worshiping like these  from Onomie.

You’ll be happy to know this brand does not use fragrance, alcohol, parabens, or phthalates in their products.

Their studies are impressive: 93% of women showed an improvement in fine lines and wrinkles in a clinical study over 8 weeks and that 90% showed an improvement in dark circles in a clinical study over 8 weeks.

There are two products in the line- the A.C.E. Illuminating Eye Treatment and Brightening Concealer. I like the two-step approach.

First apply the eye treatment then the brightening concealer. A little goes a long way with these products. You only need a tiny dab of the concealer for each eye!

The brightening product contains L-ascorbic acid, plus vitamins A, E, and B, sodium hyaluronate, and konjac root powder.

Don’t be in shock, this is pale pink in color which erases darkness and shadows around the eye area. This worked better for me if I applied a light eye cream first, just a bit to hydrate the area. Next is the heavy duty concealer which completely erases any discoloration.

The concealer contains Night Sleeper, Lupine, Alfalfa, White Lily, Ginseng, and Caffeine.

The verdict? I liked these products, I loved the A.C.E. Illuminating Eye Treatment and am considering a full sized purchase.

You can try these at home by ordering samples. The concealer comes in ten shades and the eye treatment is available in two. My concealer shade is Cavendish since my skin is light with yellow undertones.

Have you tried Onomie? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
