Good for You and the Environment: Lyeska

by Caroline Leavitt
You know what fall and winter mean, right? Chapped, dry skin. But Lyeska has a solution for your precious skin.
It’s a Brooklyn-based company, and they use nothing artificial, and certainly no preservatives, either. And even better, it’s owned by women.
First I tried the eye cream with Siberian cedar nut and arctic root, cornflower, raspberry and white tea extracts. The fatty acids of Siberian Cedar Nut oil helps everything to nourish your skin, boost collagen production and even firm the skin around your eyes. I loved the way it glided on and didn’t feel stiff or sticky.
I also tried the moisturizing  facial lotion, which has wild rose hips and organic Shea Butter to give you the best skin ever. Finally, I tried the rejuvenating syrup, which is just what you want after a day out in the elements–or in the skin-drying heat. It’s full of Vitamin C and E and antioxidants, and it keeps your skin restored.
I loved all of these products. Not only are they good for you, but they’re good for the environment, and they’re good for the human race–a portion of all proceeds go to empower  Siberian women to sustain the forests.
