purminerals

I’ve liked this brand for a long time. They have two really awesome mascaras that I always recommend for those people who like long, voluminous lashes. This is a mineral based brand that does not contain toxins like parabens, mineral oil, DEA and formaldehyde, they are Vegan friendly and gluten-free.

I tried three products recently and I liked them all. Let’s take a look:

NEW Color Correcting Primer – Prep & Perfect – Neutral: is a nearly clear, weightless primer that reduces the appearance of pores, smoothes skin and basically improves the look of your skin. Its ideal for under foundation. It doesn’t ball up, clump, or come off as other primers sometimes do. This does contain dimethicone which for some people, poses a problem. For me, its fine on skin but I avoid in hair care which is a whole other topic.

4-in-1 Mineral Tinted Moisturizer: Perfect when you want a light dose of foundation with hydrating properties.  This is ideal for when you do not need a full face of makeup. I like that it contains an spf  of 20, I’ve used this as a primer and it works great. I just dab this all over my face, add some concealer around my eyes and dab a little powder over everything. Works like a charm! Hydrates but doesn’t make skin greasy or oily.

Last but not least is the 4 in 1 Pressed Mineral Foundation. This works beautifully with the primer I mentioned above, and applied with a big kabuki brush. Although technically you don’t need another product- its a natural mineral makeup concealer, powder and SPF 15 protection all in one- I always use extra concealer around my zombie eyes.

I love the pressed powder form as mineral powders can be very messy. This one is bound with organic shea butter and vitamin E.

I have really liked everything I’ve tried from this brand. I love that the products are cruelty free and made with minerals. And like I said before, the mascaras cannot be beat.
