I have totally fallen for face oils and can’t turn back. Why do I like them over moisturizers, you might ask. Well, not only are the oils I’m mentioning below natural and non toxic, but they really do just melt into skin. Also, I’ve seen improvements in the texture of my skin that creams and lotions can’t compete with.
I’ve tried a lot of oils and have loved many of them. Most good oils will penetrate the layers of skin to soften wrinkles through hydration, oils will add moisture, they are gentle, oils brighten and evens skin tone. All in all, these oils improve the look and feel of skin. I always use any left over oil on my hands, chest and neck.
Here’s what I’ve been using lately:
No.1 Aknari Nighttime Dream Youth Serum combines Prickly Pear Seed Oil and Argan Oil with Rose Oil resulting in an oil that gives skin radiance that cannot be denied. I use this frequently and love it. I have read numerous reviews and everyone agrees
Sequoia Beauty has a wonderful oil called Anti-Inflammatory Serum. Geared for skin issues like cystic acne, rosacea, or skin prone to reactions, this oil is made with “Chinese Skullcap, Licorice, Chamomile, and Lavander as well as oils known to reduce inflammation, such as Almond, Borage, Evening Primrose, and Tamanu oil plus essential oils of Blue Chamomile and Helichrysum.”
This oil is a winner, as with most oils, you don’t need a whole lot. This is perfect for those of you who have sensitive skin.
Kenza Pure Moroccan Argan & Prickly Pear Seed Oil and Prickly Pear Seed Oil– Lets look at the Prickly Pear Seed Oil first. This is also known as India Fig Opuntia or Barbary Fig which I did not know.
Here’s some information: “Prickly Pear Seed Oil has a high concentration of Tocopherol (Vitamin E) and essential fatty acids (Linoleic Acid or Omega 6). This oil contains more Tocopherol than any other oil available in the beauty care market (almost 150% more Tocopherol than Argan oil). “Tocopherols are molecules with strong antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties.”* “
In a nutshell, this oil is the bomb. It does everything from improve dark spots to brighten and nourish skin. Its super good for skin. I am loving it! I use a few drops on my dark spots and other places I need help. I just started using it and I have high hopes.
You can also use the blend of Argan & Prickly Pear Seed oil which offers the best of Argan oil which is very good for the hair and skin, as well as the Prickly Pear Seed Oil which is a powerhouse on its own. Also check out Kenza’s Pure SPA Bar Soap which is made with Pure Argan and Pure Prickly Pear Seed oils and exfoliates and leaves skin soft!
Annmarie Gianni’s face oil for acne/oily skin is always within reach. This is the first face oil I tried and I love what it does to my skin. I could have really used this during my hormonal teenage years when my skin was super prone to acne and oil overproduction! This gentle oil smooths skin, lightly hydrates and improves texture. When I use this exclusively every day, my skin doesn’t even require full face foundation!
Josh Rosebrook’s Deep Hydrating Serum is one that I use constantly especially on areas where I have fine lines! It is chock full of the best live, active extracts that go deep within the layers of the skin to repair and nourish. This is a super duper oil that will rejuvenate skin, brighten and do everything you need it to.
Have you started using face oils yet? The ones I mentioned are great products that deliver results. You can’t go wrong with any of them!
