Review: Sequoia Beauty

I love this wonderful brand! Sequoia Beauty uses the best that Mother Nature has to offer including herbs and flowers. Ingredients are sourced locally and the owner Laurel is on board with the idea that conventional beauty and skincare products can be toxic to our systems.

Here’s what Laurel says:

What most people don’t know is that putting toxins and carcinogens on their face everyday for years is actually AGING them! Most ‘anti-aging‘ solutions are based on antioxidants. However, when these antioxidants are present in formulas with chemical toxins and carcinogens, it is doing a lot more harm than good.

It took me a long time- years- to discover this truth. I’m glad I finally did. My world opened up to gorgeous, handmade, natural products like those from Sequoia! You will want to know that Sequoia doesn’t use water or alcohol, you are getting the purest natural skincare with this brand!

There is nothing synthetic or harmful in the beautiful products from this brand. I fell  instantly in love with the Purify and Release Cream Cleanser. Made from “Burdock, Licorice, Echinacea, and Dandelion encourage cellular and pore detoxing. Chamomile, Licorice, and Chickweed sooth the skin to help release impurities. Chamomile, Echinacea, Honey and Calendula are a few of the antimicrobial plants in this formula.” Its smooth, soft, creamy and cleans skin without stripping it.

I love it!

I’ve been using the Anti-Inflammatory Serum to help with my acne prone skin. Even at this age, I’m still getting clogged pores and pimples. Occasionally some cystic acne. And I get so upset! Thankfully the powers of Almond, Borage, Evening Primrose, and Tamanu oils are blended along with other ingredients to create this serum to help with inflammation. A few drops warmed in your hands and applied to the face is all you need. I used to completely overdo the face oils until I learned that less is more! This is a wonderful oil to use in the evening before bed. Let the oils work on your skin as you sleep.

The Purity Face & Body Balm is what dry skin needs. I love using this on my hands, heels, elbows especially any particular rough patches. My cuticles are in constant need of this! This miracle worker is 100% raw, organic, and unrefined making it so pure that you only need a tiny bit!

I appreciate Laurel’s dedication to using natural plants and herbs that are native to Northern California. I especially love the way people like Laurel combine oils and herbs and botanicals to treat skin and come up with these amazing products that come to us from nature. The Sequoia Beauty site is set up clearly and easily and shopping on the site is super easy and simple. Check out it here! Also be sure to check out the QandA which I found to be very interesting!

  1. I’m an organic esthetician and have been carrying Sequoia Beauty for 2 years now – my clients and I are just in love with this line! It has convinced us that organic skin care really can make even more of a difference than clinical products – when made the way that Laurel, and a few others I’ve discovered since then, makes them. The integrity and quality are something rare in the skin care world. Great post! Love your blog, new follower. 🙂

  2. Thank you so much for your comment! And thank you for reading my blog. I totally agree with your comment about organic skin care. There’s nothing better!
