I just started the practice of Dry Body Brushing a few weeks ago when I got a really nice body brush and a lovely oil from ChingerChi.  Since then, I do a body brush every evening before my night time shower. While the water heats up, I start from the bottom and work my way up my body.

At first I was doing it too hard- my skin was hurting and it turned red. But now I think I’ve got the hang of it!

You can do a dry brushing twice a day although I prefer once a day because its still pretty new to me. Skin should be dry (hence, dry brushing) and you should only brush up towards the heart in long sweeping motions. Be gentle- you want to feel invigorated, not in pain.
