After trying natural, vegan, cruelty free,  and organic skincare there is no way I am ever going back to the products I used before. As good as they were, I am finding  natural skincare (and makeup)  far superior! Only in desperation would I reach for a lotion or cream that was not from one of the brands I have reviewed since turning into a natural beauty blog.

I’ve mentioned how life changing Annmarie Gianni’s oil for acne-oily skin is, and that got me interested in the use of oils for everything from skin to hair to nails. If you don’t have loads of cash to spend on a variety of high end oils (which are worth every penny) then opt for Avocado Oil for skin, Jojoba oils for nails and cuticles and Coconut oil for everything else.

Oils are wonderful for skin and here’s why-

*they are (usually) made without toxins, chemicals, preservatives.

* the loss of moisture in skin as we age is replaced the fatty acids from natural oils.

* oils are absorbed quickly  by the top layer of skin, plumping up fine lines.

* skincare oils offer therapeutic properties- think aromatherapy- they smell amazing.

*oils are natural and do  not need to be blended with animal by-products. The oils I’ve tried are vegan, naturally.

*adding oil to your skin actually helps skin’s own natural oil production. How? Skin will not over produce acne- causing oils.

I’ve been rotating these, pictured above- Trilogy Rosehip Oil, Balanced Guru Hair Oil and Ageless Serum and Lina Hanson Global Body Oil and Face Oil. Notice the dark color of the glass containers- this color prevents the light or  sun from breaking down the molecules of these preservative free oils.

Let’s look!

Triology Rosehip Oil  contains skin-loving certified organic rosehip oil, which is known to help the appearance of scars, stretchmarks, fine lines and wrinkles. Its rich in omega 3 & 6, it soaks right into the skin and leaves your complexion soft and glowing.  If you have acne scars, this can help soften them and make less noticeable, same with sun damage. As with all of these oils, you don’t need much. Its ideal for dry skin since its absorbed quickly and you can reapply as often as needed.  A little bit massaged into skin feels amazing and is a nice nightly ritual.  You can buy this wonderful oil at Beautorium here.

Balanced Guru offers the funky, hippie vibe that I assumed all natural products possessed! Not only do the products contain certified organic ingredients but they are cruelty free. There are two oils here, one for face and one for hair. Ageless Serum is a luscious blend of Rose, Helichrysum, and Neroli oils along with Rosehip, Evening Primrose, Argan and Jojoba oils. I love the oil massaged into my face, especially after using a good face mask (try May Lindstrom’s The Problem Solver). Its so refreshing and the skin drinks up the oil!  Your skin looks radiant thanks to the wonderful natural oils.

The No Frizz hair oil is equally as wonderful, it blends Sesame, Grapeseed, Jojoba and Tamanu Oils and combats frizz. You don’t need much- a few drops warmed in your hands and lightly applied to the ends of wet or dry hair. Since using this, I really don’t need a volumizer, spray, serum. It doesn’t contain silicones which can be bad news for certain hair types.

All the rave reviews I read about Lina Hanson’s Global Body Serum are true! This product  smells terrific, makes skin feel like velvet, and contains a delicious blend of natural oils.  I can’t even pinpoint what the magical scent  is- grapefruit and vanilla? Mandarin orange?  I do know it  works like a charm, smoothing and softening skin, leaving behind that delicious scent. Its amazing to me  how oils which are heavy and greasy, don’t feel greasy and heavy on the face or body!

The Global Face Serum is like liquid gold making skin look bright and healthy. This serum is ideal for sensitive and acne prone skin and it  reduces inflammation. My oily skin loves this- it doesn’t make me more oily but balances out my skin very well. I use this everywhere except on my eyelids!

Lina sources ingredients around the world supporting fair trade and sustainable harvesting. Her products are not tested on animals and are vegan. She uses natures own ingredients like marula oil, rice bran oil, argan oil, camellia seed, vanilla, avocado oil and more, to  blend her magical potions. You can find these products here.

I love all of these products and think they are excellent. I encourage you to give one- or all- of these a try so you can see for yourself how healing and transformative oils are.
