Review: Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics

I was definitely intrigued when I first read about Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics. This line of mineral makeup  is free from petroleum dyes and other chemicals including preservatives which is music to my ears…and eyes. Youngblood does not contain talc, parabens, oil or fragrance and is gentle for those with sensitive skin. This brand is also cruelty free. Youngblood bridges the gap between completely natural {which is quite hard to find} and chemical infused beauty products that I want to stay away from.

I tried the Mineral Radiance which is the perfect blend of a blush and bronzer, warming up my skin. It was silky and smooth and I loved it with a bit of the Crushed Mineral Blush in Tulip dotted over my cheeks.  The Crushed Mineral Blush  gave my face a nice subtle shimmer and sheer but buildable color.

The Mighty Shine Lip Gel is amazing. I love a really high shine but its tough to find glosses that aren’t sticky (or filled with weird chemicals but that goes without saying). This was super smooth and offers a very light vanilla scent. I tried the clear  shade called Stripped and a pale pink with a little shimmer called Revealed.

What I also like about Youngblood is that they list all ingredients right there for you to see and feature 100% pure minerals. Mineral makeup comes directly from Mother Earth and do not harvest bacteria so additional toxins are not needed to preserve them.

They aren’t organic or as clean as some hard core natural beauties would like to see but I feel that Youngblood is a good choice if you are looking to try to be a little healthier and gentler to your skin. The colors are beautifully pigmented and my sensitive skin showed no signs of irritation.
