I was really excited to try out Boots Botanics and Boots No7 …especially as I segue into featuring only natural/organic and cruelty free beauty products.
Boots is readily available at Target, Target.com and us.boots.com! This brand offers many affordable products from skincare to cosmetics to body care. Boots Botanics does not use parabens, mineral oils, and have replaced man- made chemicals with natural ingredients as much as possible. This brand is also cruelty free.
I wish this brand was 100% organic but its a great place to start if you are thinking of going natural. I checked their rating on the SkinDeep website and information is limited but on several products, they score between low and moderate hazards.
Let’s take a look at what I tried!
The Boots Botanics Color Adjusting Foundation was smooth and offered a medium coverage which was perfect for me, someone who still wants their skin to show through but I want my face to look smooth and even. It looks soft and natural. The Lighter Than Air Mineral Loose Powder is enriched with minerals and is very lightweight- I liked it dusted over my foundation and found only a little was needed for my whole face.
Although there is limited data for the mascara, it looks to have scored a very low rating on Skin Deep, good news especially for those with sensitive eyes. With the Lash Adapt Mascara, your lashes look longer but not clumped togther. My sensitive eyes were not irritated by this mascara. Also noteable is the very smooth Stay Perfect Eye Shadow Trio. I used the lighter shade all over my eyelid and using a small, angled brush I used the deeper color as an eyeliner. The Natural Blush Tint Powder is like the mascara and eyeshadow, smooth! I love the light texture and the fact it wore well throughout the day. I loved the Stay Perfect Lipstick! It was satiny in texture and really moisturizes the lips.
Boots No7 products are hypo-allergenic which is good news for those with sensitive skin. Last but not least is the No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Serum. It contains peptides and botanics along with gingko and vitamin C and vitamin A. Sharon Osbourne is a huge fan! Here is what she had to say:
“I tried to get it when I was last in England and they were sold out because it’s like gold dust – everybody’s trying to get it; It’s brilliant.”
