Tarte’s new collection called Aqualillies is not to be missed. I wear Tarte all the time and especially like the Amazonian clay 12-hour full coverage foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15, I use it several times a week when I know I won’t be home to do any touch-ups. I frequently wear the Amazonian clay 12-hour blush too as well as the Maracuja Oil. You could say I am a big Tarte fan and have been since Tarte burst on the scene years ago.
The turquoise and orange packaging of this new collection is so pretty, I’m in love with it and want pillows for my living room in that pattern! The bright colors are so perfect for spring. Brilliant packaging!I tried a couple of things from the Aqualillies and liked it very much as I figured I would.
I tested the Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliner in Black, and the one in Splash. I’m a big fan of these gel eyeliners and the angled tip makes application easy. If thats not comfortable for you, flip it over and use the regular eyeliner brush! The black is inky and dark, as black eyeliner should be, while Splash takes a few layers to get darker. I have been doing a couple swipes of Spash and one layer of Black, right up there in my lashline, top lashes only followed by lots of mascara.
The lip color Glamazon Pure Performance in Timeless lasts forever. I swiped this on without a mirror thinking the color would be sheer and surprise! Its rich, pigmented and lasts a long time. After I blotted it and added a swipe of gloss over the bright color, it was better for me. I don’t normally wear anything brighter than a pale shade of pink so this was a new look for me. I highly recommend this for those of you who aren’t too shy to wear a bold color!
Last is the Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder. This is a quickly absorbed powder that is very fine and I like it to set my makeup and decrease the appearance of pores. Its not heavy or chalky, and will seriously reduce shine. I use a big flat ended brush to dab onto my cheeks and forehead.
I know you will enjoy the Aqualillies collection as much as I do! Click here for more Tarte.
