I am in the midst of testing a couple different lotions and skincare products so I asked my skin care product loving pal Heidi to test and review products from Avene and below, Erno Laszlo.
As oily as my skin is, Heidi’s is quite dry. I’ve used and loved Avene products in the past and actually use the Thermal Spring Water to set my makeup or spray on a makeup sponge before applying makeup. But enough about me! Take it away, Heidi…
Avene Tolerance Extreme
**Soothing Anti-Irritating Cream
This product is an ultra-gentle moisturizing cream ideal for skin that doesn’t tolerate other moisturizers. My skin is moody and sometimes randomly decides that it doesn’t like my normal skin care routine. This will be my go-to cream for when I my skin is irritated and needs to be brought back to balance. Perfect for use both in the AM and PM, this product is light and goes on smoothly with out leaving a residue. Formulated without any fragrance, harsh chemicals or preservatives, it offers soothing moisturizer. I will also be sure to use this cream when I am in the middle of a chemical peel and my skin is raw and vulnerable.
It is hard to find a cleansing lotion that does not dry out or irritate my skin. This is not the case with Avene’s Tolerance cleanser. My skin actually feels soothed and calm when I use this. A little goes a long way and I am happy to add this to my skin care regimen!
**Thermal Spring Water
Although my skin is part reptilian, I love the look of moist, dewy skin. That being said, I truly love Avene’s Thermal Spring Water. This product is absolutely perfect for dry, sensitive skin. Just a light mist and dry skin is hydrated and irritated skin is calmed. I will keep this product on hand this summer to keep my cheeks happy. I also love to do chemical peels on my skin and this spring water is perfect for those days when I am flaking to keep my skin in place and the peeling less obvious.
